SAFETY IS OUR TOP PRIORITY

Our top priority has always been for the health and safety of all those in our care. Now more than ever, this is holds true. We are responding to the need for enhanced protocols in alignment with the New Jersey Requirements for health and safety for cleanliness and peace of mind.

It’s our promise to hold ourselves to the highest of standards and that our centers will be cleaned throughout the day, and continuously. Our center will be inspected for cleanliness regularly through the day to ensure our enhanced protocols and procedures are being implemented to address the current health crisis.

 

Clean & Sanitized – Ongoing throughout the day and every evening

Our facilities follow guidelines for cleaning and sanitizing classrooms - including frequently touched surfaces and toys - throughout the day and in the evening.

Secured – Coded entry and alarm system

State-of-the-art technology helps to ensure that Cornerstone Childcare Academy is safe and secure at all times. From coded entry to internal video monitoring and limited points of entry, our security system, emergency drills and protocols devised by first responders. 


Trained – CPR and First Aid Certified staff

Our teachers and staff are CPR and first-aid certified. In addition, every staff member must meet or exceed state-mandated educational requirements and pass through rigorous background checks to ensure safety for all.

Enhanced Health & Safety Protocols

The safety and well-being of all those in our Circle of Care is our highest priority. During this time of elevated concern, our center is staying up-to-date with the latest guidance regarding the health and safety of your child.

Centers continue to follow all CDC, OSHA, state licensing regulations and guidelines:

  • Limited access of center visitors.

  • PPE equipment as necessary including face covering policy for all adults.

  • External drop-off and pick-up of children.

  • Strict screening process including temperature checks for families and staff.

  • Strict policy on illness exclusion, including staying home if exhibiting any symptoms such as frequent cough, sneezing, fever, or difficulty breathing.

  • Training based on and regular practice of CDC and OSHA COVID19 Infection Plans and Procedures, and Center Emergency and Crisis Management Plan.

  • Post Enhanced Health & Safety Protocol and COVID-19 related signage in all classrooms and throughout the center.

  • Increase focus on good hygiene practices including frequency of handwashing and coughing and sneezing etiquette.

  • Provide hand sanitizer for adults as necessary.

  • Manage classroom group sizes, maintaining teacher-student ratios and avoid combining children from different classrooms.

  • Increase sanitization of frequently touched surfaces and all toys and manipulatives after use.

  • Containment for all crib sheets, cot sheets and blankets, food utensils, and other personal items.

  • Limiting use of playground equipment to one classroom at a time and disinfecting in between classroom use.

  • Temporary suspension of field trips and inside group gathering such as: graduations, recitals, and other events.

  • Increased outdoor activity whenever possible.
